“Not Quite All Hallows Eve” Party

Saturday 29th October @ 2-4pm

Come and join us outside in the churchyard at St John’s for our “Not Quite All Hallows Eve” Party! There will be party games, craft - biscuit decorating and mask making, pumpkin and jelly messy play, fire pit and refreshments. Explore the graveyard in a spooky treasure hunt!

Woodley’s Warm Welcome

10.30 - 12pm Saturday 25th June

An opportunity to connect with other local families hosting Ukrainian guests in Woodley, and a chance to offer ideas about what ongoing support would be helpful.

Green Pastures Grief Cafe Launch

Tuesday 30th May at 2pm, St John’s Church

A service of blessing to launch our new ministry, and commission the volunteers who will serve it. There will be a chance to light a candle and remember those whom we love and no longer see.

No need to register. All are welcome, particularly anyone who has been recently bereaved.

Easter Egg Hunt

1 - 3pm Friday 22nd April

Join us for more outdoor fun with our free community party to celebrate Easter, with the St John's Easter Egg Hunt!

After our successful All Hallows Eve and Christmas Eve Parties, we are back with crafts, games and an Easter egg hunt around the churchyard on Friday 22nd April, between 1 and 3 pm. Come in fancy dress!

Christmas Eve Party

1pm-2.30pm Friday 24th December

An afternoon of festive fun, games and crafts on Christmas Eve, from 1pm. There's a chance to make your own Christingle ready for an outdoor Christingle service at 2.30pm!

Come dressed up with Christmas sparkle, and follow our Nativity trail round the churchyard, before warming up by the firepit with hot chocolate and marshmallows. All children registered will go home with a Christmas goodie bag!

St John’s Quiz Night - Thursday 11th March 2021

On Thursday 11th March at 8pm on Zoom, Margaret & Clive certainly put us all to the test with questions on animals and geography to name a few of the topics. Who knew that slugs had 4 noses and the fact that Meikleour, in Scotland, is famous for the longest and tallest Beech Hedge in the world (planted in 1746)!
