Frequently Asked Questions

If you currently give to St John’s and are looking to change the way you do so, or would like to understand more about giving to St John’s, please see our FAQs below.

Numbered Envelopes

Question Answer
I normally give using numbered envelopes, how should I give now? You can set up giving from your bank or credit card accounts using the website. Go to the ‘Giving’ page and select ‘On-line Giving’. Then you choose whether you would like to make a one-off donation or a regular donation.
If I have already signed a Gift Aid form, do I have to fill one in again to make an on-line donation? No. The Gift Aid form you have already filled in is sufficient, but please remember to fill in your surname in the ‘Reference’ box when making your donation: this lets us link your donation to the existing Gift Aid form.
Can I go back to using envelopes after services at St John's resume? Yes
I would rather complete a paper form than use the on-line facility. Can I do this? Yes. There are paper forms for joining the Parish Giving Scheme and for setting up a regular standing order. In both cases donating using Gift Aid is optional. Please contact the Treasurer, David Crane for the forms.
I would prefer to continue giving cash, can I do this? While services at St John’s are suspended it will not be possible to make cash donations. However, if you put the donations aside during this period you can give them as a single lump sum eventually. If you think it is appropriate please consider giving using the Parish Giving Scheme.
